Hello, I'm somewhat tech illiterate, but I'm trying to set some permissions in my group, and cannot seem to figure it out. My group is for families in our area to be able to connect, and I want to make sure that I protect location information of events and such from someone who might have requested access, but may not belong there. What I want ideally:
Newly approved members automatically fall into a group.
This group can't access the subforums where events and locations based conversations are, but are able to access the rest.
Once they have posted somewhere else (I always suggest our Meet & Greet), they're moved into a new group with standard permissions, and ideally this happens automatically.
What I've done:
I thought this could be done with Ranks, but doesn't seem so???
I created a new group, and added all of the members who have 0 posts to it, made it their default group, and set the forum based permissions. It's not working.
