How to Donate to a Tapatalk Group.
There are two ways to donate to a group.
1 = via Paypal (if the group admins have it set up that way).
2 = make a donation with Gold Points.
Let's explain first how to find out how the donation is set up in the group.
A donation with gold points only will look like in the image below. All you will see is a donate button. This button can have a different color depending on the color picked by the admins.
When you have a choice whether you wish to donate via Paypal, card,. or with gold points, the donation area will look like this:
Where do the donations go and who gets them?
Donations made via the golden button that has the cards underneath will go to the paypal account of the admin who added the button. The admin can then use the donation to keep the group ad-free.
Donations made via the gold point donate button go to the group's console. These points can be used to remove ads directly. They stay in the group so the admin does not have to take extra steps to apply funds from the paypal account to the group.
If we want to donate points, where do we get the points from?
To donate points, you need to set up a wallet, this is a one-time setup.
Go to www.tapatalk.com and make sure you are signed in there.
Next, click your username at the top right and click Gold Point in the navigation bar on the resulting page.
Once you're on the gold points page, click the blue Set Up Wallet link:
Once you've set up and filled your wallet, you're well on your way to make your first donation.
Remember that you only need to set up your wallet once.
Before we go any further, I would like to bring your attention to the following screen:
This is a screenshot of a wallet that has been used. You will see a gold points balance, a way to change the amount you wish to top up, and a toggle to turn the auto refill on and off.
Turning on the auto refill will automatically refill your wallet with the top-up amount that you have determined. This will happen when your balance runs too low to perform specific actions (e.g. if you use this for your VIP+ as well, and you have 140 points left but you need 299 points to renew your VIP+, the wallet will refill with the top-up amount you have chosen.
OK I have points in my wallet, now what? How do I donate?
To donate, simply click the Donate Gold Points button at your group and the donate screen will appear.
Here it will show you how many points you have (over to the right) and you can fill out the amount of points you wish to donate (Over to the left).
Click the donate button, and that's it.
