Since this past weekend I’ve not been able to see any image on my Tapatalk forum, neither on my iPhone nor my Mac.
Uploaded photos are simply coloured boxes with a small question mark inside them, while icons and emoticons simply do not show up at all (I can’t post a screenshot for the same reason).
It happened incrementally; first some images, then eventually all of them. All within about three days.
Now if I click on any of these image boxes on my Mac, they open up in some kind of pop-up screen, and I can see them. But clearly that’s an irritatingly impractical multi-step procedure, and anyway I can’t access them at all on my iPhone- which is by far the device I use most often to access the site.
I don’t know if it’s connected, but since around the same time I started having problems seeing the images, I found myself being asked to “verify that I’m a human being” every time I want to access the forum. I’m used to that whenever I did a forum search, but now I’m being prompted to do so every time I access the site.
The thing is that other members don’t seem to be having this issue- I’m wondering if it may be something to do with an IP address being blocked (I’m in Tokyo).
I tried clearing out the cookie cache and restarting, but no change.
